“And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and grew gardens full of fresh food, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.” – Kitty O’Meara
As I’m writing this from a makeshift desk in front of my living room windows, for the first time ever every apartment within view of mine is lit up. People are home. I see families making dinner together, couples dancing, and people with tools fixing things in their apartments. The typically busy, bustling downtown streets resemble a ghost-town. It’s a strange time filled with ambiguity and uncertainty.
A few days ago, I read Kitty O’Meara’s quote (above) and it stopped me in my tracks. What will I do with this time? Will I give into the anxiousness I feel and allow myself to slip into a panic? Or, will I allow myself to get still and go inward? And, what about you? Might you use some of this time as a gift to learn something about yourself? If you’ve been going nonstop in an endless loop of busyness for so long that you’ve felt on autopilot, might this be a chance to slow down and breathe?
TODAY’S PROMPT:
Take a moment to get still and allow yourself to feel your emotions. How are you feeling today? What might you use this time for? Share with others by leaving a comment (reading this via email? Click “Read in browser” below).

I am using this time to learn about Articulate 360 and get my portfolio made. Today, I am feeling overwhelmed. I only have eight days left on my trial version to create a course in Storyline 360, and my house is a disaster. It seems like there is not enough time in the day. Trying to stay positive throughout this time. One-day at a time.

You are being SO productive, Kendra! Remember to be gentle with yourself and not expect too much. Whatever increases your energy is probably the best thing to do right now.
